What's new in TeamForm? Here are all the new features and updates we released in May.

Managed Teams Beta

Following on from Atlassian’s recent Teams on Tour 25 event we continue to ensure our first party integration between TeamForm and Jira is extended to support the broader Atlassian ecosystem which means your TeamForm teams and their memberships can now be used as official Atlassian Managed Teams throughout the ecosystem e.g. Jira, Confluence, Home, Compass and many more places.

Reach out to your Customer Success lead if you’d like to participate in the Beta or check out our guide to Managed Teams here.

Jira Field Cascade

To further enrich our customers use of TeamForm data in other products we have introduced a new cascade drop down field in our Jira add-in that allows you to use TeamForm teams and configure which teams show up in the drop down. Customers are using this to help identify a specific team within Jira when there’s more than one team with a similar name e.g. “reporting team” etc.

Explore Structures Beta

Many of our customers have a number of different hierarchies of data they maintain either offline or in a tool that only some people have access too e.g. Enterprise Architecture / PPM tools. So we are allowing you to replicate your various structures to help you map and link them to people and teams. Imagine mapping value streams, product and service catalogs, customer journeys, channels, episodes and much more.

Well now you can via linking a tagType to a parent and enabling the top most parent TagType to be shown in the explore menu (the new name the org structure navigation). This is just the beginning and we are eager to see what you will do with this set of super powers. We are continuing to enrich this capability (reach out to your Customer Success Lead to setup a test workspace and enable this new capability)

Org Charts

Member / Team counts: Small tweak to make the position and order of counts on org chart team cards to be more consistent with the team details view.

Load times of large teams is now significantly improved so that things load more quickly and if you really need to see more than 100 people in a single team you can do so on an as-needed basis. For a deeper analysis using the people icon (left menu) provides a better way to look at members in bulk.

Workspace Switcher

In our quest to streamline and reduce duplication of functionality, we are releasing a small tweak to power / admin users. This tweak makes the workspace switcher easier to use, removes the duplicate switcher in the app menu and improves the sort order so that you don’t have to remember the name of the default workspace.

The sort order logic so that your active workspace shows up first, followed by default and then all others (in ascending order).

Team to Strategy Linkage

A small tweak to use a multi-select drop down in the org structure settings page when you are configuring what Strategy items are visible to a given team type. This was free text based in the past and error prone.
